Pandas in space, Part 5: Moonberry mystery solved!

Dear fluffy Pandas,

Today we get to read more about our journey into space! Remember our alien friends Nui and Trawui, who got married in Panfu? During the past few weeks every Sunday we’ve taken an imaginary journey to their home planet Chiconahuiehecatl, and right now our we’re in the middle of quite an adventure.

Here’s what’s happened so far:

Nui and Trawui have two kids (Nonzi and Tapez) and live happily on their home planet. But there is one major problem that bothers their everyday lives: Their planet is running out of food (moonberries) because 2 mean Pandas came to eat them all up. We are travelling with a mischievous Tigerbolly who tends to run away and eat everything she sees. But the good thing is she can sniff moonberries very well, so she might help us find the Pandas and solve the moonberry mystery!

This week I chose 2 writer-Pandas to continue the story:babypanda90 and charlottesilver. I combined their exciting clips into one, because they both had very nice ideas and together I think they lead the story on very well. It’s important a story has a plot that goes further, so it stays interesting and doesn’t start drifting too much.

Dear Pandas on earth,

It was dark and cold in the cave, but luckily I had a torch. I lit the torch and went down the stairs. There was a trail of pawprints on the ground. I followed the pawprints and found those mean Pandas! Unfortunately they managed to escape but we came up with a plan. We were going to try again but this time quieter and in disguise. Our disguise would need to be dark because down that hole it was black with patches of navy blue and brown. “Hmmm… Why blue?” I wondered. Nui said that blue was the colour of the moonberries!

We went looking for a disguise. It took a while to find dark colours on the planet. It is very colourful there because everything’s made of candy! Mmmm… Yum! When we were looking for clothes my very greedy Bolly ate someone’s hand bag! Then we found some wet patches of… of… of moonberry juice.  So we soaked it up in our clothes quickly, made the costumes and put them on. We ran back into the cave,  I set up a distraction to the mean Pandas, and my Tigerbolly went over and got the berries back. The mean Pandas tried to get the berries back from us, but they finally gave up.

We took the moonberries back to Nui and Trawui. I went to their home, and saw the babies, Nonzi and Tapez. They are cute and fuzzy and look just like their parents. Family life is great for Nui and Trawui, and they love watching their kids playing around. I think they are planning to have at least one more. They said they’d love to raise a large family. I also met Nui and Trawui’s friends. They are very nice, and their names are Zinky and Twinky.

Life in space is really cool. I wish I could stay there forever with Nui and Trawui!

That was just lovely! What a great idea to distract the mean Pandas, and I wonder what that crazy Bolly will get up to next… :D You know, writer Pandas, there are a few easy tips to keep in mind if you like to write stories:

Tips

* A good story has a goal, and remembers to reach that goal. For example our goal was to find Nui and Trawui, see how their life is, and get into space adventures on the way.
* A few twists make the story exciting but it’s important to remember your goal and not have too many twists and turns, or the story starts drifting and readers get tired.
* All the events and characters should help us get to our goal, and make the story fun to read.
* If you forget your goal, the readers will get disappointed, because they’ve expected to find out what happens.

I would say it seems that we’re managing to reach our goals very well thanks to your great stories! In the next part I would like you to prepare us for our trip back to earth and Panfu. Maybe Nui and Trawui could throw us a going away party with all their friends andother creatures from the planet? Will our alioon friend from planet Francioso come also? Do we have enough lemonade to fuel the space ship? Maybe we could visit some other planets on the way too, wouldn’t that be fun? We need a nice ending to the journey, and I’m sure you’ll write great stories about it.

Remember to use the tips I gave you, and write a maximum of 10 lines, so your text might get chosen! ;) Use your imagination, and have fun writing, Pandas!

Love and Peace
Kamaria
